Cat Service Policies

Updated: 5/20/2020

The policies within are interpreted by a representative appointed by and recognized by Urban Aristocrats and enforced by this representative at their discretion. These policies are effective immediately.

Cancellation, Late, and No Show Policy

Confirmed appointments require 48 hours notice for cancellation or are subject to a $25 charge. This fee also applies to no-shows. You are also subject to fee if you schedule an appointment that occurs within that 48 window and then cancel it or fail to show.

If you are more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, it is considered a no show and you are subject to the fee and you will need to reschedule

Vaccinations

All cats must be current on rabies vaccinations. Additionally for boarding your cat must also have a current FVRCP(Feline Distemper) vaccination. We will ask for you to provide proof of current vaccinations before performing any services. This proof must be on certified letterhead from a veterinarian in good standing or official state documents and must specifically identify the pet, the owner and vaccinations. We reserve the right to copy and maintain this proof for our records.

Pricing and Fees

Pricing is decided by and exclusively by Urban Aristocats and is subject to change at any time. Pricing estimates for service is based on an evaluation of your pet visually before services are rendered. Services may be subject to additional fees due to many factors, including but not limited to pet temperament, coat conditions/Matting, size and weight as these types of conditions increase the effort and time needed to perform the service. These fees are assessed at the sole discretion of Urban Aristocats.

Non-Boarding Services Drop Off and Pick-Up

This includes all services that are not considered boarding. You should not arrive earlier than 15 minutes for your appointment unless requested by Urban Aristocats and should pick up no more than 1 hour after being notified your pet’s service is complete. Early drop offs and late pick-ups are subject to additional fees.

Boarding Drop Off and Pickup

Your pet must be dropped off before 5pm CST on the first night of their stay, and by 12pm CST the day following the last night of their stay. For example, if you have an appointment for 3 nights, Monday night, Tuesday Night, and Wednesday night, you must drop off before 5pm CST on Monday, and pickup by 12pm CST on Thursday. After 12pm you are subject to an additional day care fee.

Carrier Requirement

All cats must arrive in a carrier appropriate and safe for the cat. This carrier must be designed for pet transport, appropriately sized for your cat, and can be secured without modification(for example, the door can be closed and secured by its factory binding mechanism). Do not bring additional items not requested by Urban Aristocats such as toys as Urban Aristocats is not responsible for lost or damaged items.

Ownership Requirement

Urban Aristocats will only perform services on pets requested by the owner of note for that pet. Pets will only be accepted from and allowed to be picked up by said owner unless verifiable consent is received by the owner of note. If you wish to have your pet picked up by a third party, please call us to request this so that we can verify you are the owner making the request and who specifically will be picking up. Urban Aristocats will not release pets to anyone under the age of 18 and Urban Aristocats reserves the right to request valid photo identification before releasing a pet.

Pet Health and Safety

If at any time Urban Aristocats feels your pet may be ill or injured, or that performing the requested services may place your pet in any danger or unnecessary discomfort, Urban Aristocats will not perform the requested service or discontinue any service in progress and notify you. Please disclose any underlying medical conditions or allergies to Urban Aristocats prior to your appointment. Failure to do so could place your pet’s health and well being in jeopardy.

Sedation and Medication

Urban Aristocats does not believe in sedation for any service, will never sedate your pet or request you do so, and in most cases can perform a service without the need of sedation.

If your pet requires medication, please plan to administer that medication prior to your appointment and disclose the type of medication in the chance it could create an unsafe situation for your pet. Urban Aristocats will not administer medication during appointments for non-boarding services.

If your pet requires medication during their boarding stay, please bring enough medication for the entire stay and please make sure the medication is in its original prescription packaging with the prescription on it which should include the dosing requirements, frequency and vet information along with any storage requirements. Urban Aristocats will not administer injections of any type and will only administer medications prescribed by a licensed veterinarian.

Abandonment

A pet that is brought to the Urban Aristocrats facility or left with a representative of Urban Aristocats is considered abandoned if it is not retrieved after 48 hours of notification of completion of rendered services and contact is not made with the owner of record in the Urban Aristocats system to arrange longer term care. After such time, the pet will be surrendered to Dallas Animal Services. The owner is responsible for any fees due to the surrendering authority and fees associated to or incurred during the 48 hours the pet was at our facility. These fees include but are not limited to boarding of the pet, food costs, and veterinary costs.

Right of Refusal of Service

Urban Aristocats reserves the right to refuse service to any person or persons and their pets for any reason unless refusal conflicts with local, state or federal law.
